Inge Debyser - Managing Director

Before moving to the United States, Inge worked for five years as a tax lawyer at the Bar of Brussels. That experience, grounded in law and analysis, gave her a strong foundation in structure, negotiation, and detailed processes.

After relocating, she made a bold shift—turning away from her legal career – she launched a residential home building company in Westhampton Beach. By handling all design work in-house, she discovered a creative drive that had long been waiting to surface.

What began as a construction business evolved into something much more: a way of shaping the spaces people live in and connect through. That same impulse to create with an added preservation element, inspired Inge to take on the restoration of the neglected movie theater in the heart of the Village.

Guided by a deep sense of nostalgia and strong belief in the power of in-person connection, shared experiences and life-to-life conversations, she and her team transformed the building into an elegant venue—one she hopes will become a cultural home for the community for many years to come.

Inge lives in the Village with her partner, 4 kids and their dog – she will be overseeing both the creative and business aspects of the venue.

Paul Schuyler - General Manager

Paul is the General Manager of the Sunset Theater, overseeing day-to-day operations as well as programming our exciting mix of first-run films, classic repertory, cult favorites, and movies that demand to be seen on the big screen.

A Long Island native and graduate of Westhampton Beach High School, Paul has fond memories of sitting in this very theater, watching Top Gun and Ghostbusters on their initial release—so his connection to the community, and this theater in particular, runs deep.

Prior to joining the Sunset, Paul served as Theater Director of the Chatham Orpheum Theater in Massachusetts and worked for Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas, helping open their Boston Seaport location. In addition to his work in exhibition, Paul is an accomplished filmmaker whose credits include Runner—one of the final films to screen at the Hampton Arts Theater before its closure—and the award-winning feature Red River Road, released in 2022.
